Welcome To My Hideaway!

I know I promised to share pictures of my new "hideaway" once it was finished on twitter, so I thought I would also make a post here. You know it is conducive to creativity to have a place you can call your own. A place where you feel comfortable and have little things surrounding you that inspire you. This place is all that and more for me. It took a while to locate the perfect desk and bookshelf, but now that it's complete I'm writing again and it feels wonderful. I've just started a new book, am finishing th edits on Wings of Fate, and am working on my second book with fervor.

Welcome to my world!

New Author Page!

I have finally set up my author page at Amazon.  If you would like to learn a little more about me, please visit the my T.M. Hobbs Author Page at Amazon

I'm finding it less difficult to talk about myself these days.  I suppose after answering interview questions and everyone needing bio information about you, it starts to get a bit easier.  This is a good thing for me though.  It is helping to break me out of my shell.

Hidden Place For Inspiration!

I'm finally getting my own little home office.  A little nook that I have cleaned out and claimed as my own in my home where I can dream up new ideas and hopefully be inspired.  I found the perfect desk, or it looks perfect on the internet, and I've located a bookcase that I am sure will complement it well.  My desk should arrive later this week and if all goes well I'll be making a trip out of town next week to get the bookcase.  I know, I know, it's the little things that make me happy.

Article On Examiner.com!

I was recently asked by Jennifer Connor, editor for Books To Go Now, to write an article for the Seattle Examiner to be posted in a column she writes about careers in writing. In case you are interested, I've posted the link here: Seattle Examiner.com .

Thanks Jenni for giving me the opportunity to expand on this subject.

Catching Up!

As you know, I've just finished my novel, Wings Of Fate, and I have a bit of down time before the edits start coming in from the editor.  It was an emotional moment for me to write the last word and close with the last line, but at the same time it felt very satisfying.

I've been trying to catch up on several unfinished projects and tidy things up around my various haunts so that people will not think I've dropped off the face of the earth.

With the new year comes changes, which I don't do very well, but I do have a small project I am anxious to carry through.  I'm seizing a small area in my home to create my own "little office" or "sanctuary" so I can have a place to write and dream up new ideas.  Wish me luck in carrying out this tiny plan.  I need to get it out of the way because I hope to start work on a new novel very soon.
