A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being interviewed on the Hollis Chapman Show. We discussed not only my novel, Wings of Fate, but we also touched on my new novel, To Cry For Dakota, that is slated for release in late December.
Mr. Chapman was great, and I had a wonderful time chatting with him. He also had a couple of tips for marketing your books. I hope you will check it out.
Last week I had the most wonderful surprise. I knew a friend was reading Wings of Fate, but I had no idea what she was planning after she read my book. This is what she made.
K also had some wonderful comments to make about Wings of Fate, which she posted on Twitter:
"Read 88 pages of @hobbsforever's book "wings of fate" tonight. Better go to bed while there's a good break. Wonderful read so far!
"@hobbsforever Found Keira! Lol. 151. Still loving the book.
"@hobbsforever Love scene, wow so harmonious. Her later run, whoohoo! Shocking for her, but thrilling for the reader. Stopping for now. 175
"@hobbsforever He better be okay! There's not very many pages left! 267.
"Finished @hobbsforever's book. Was a fun sweet tale about a woman discovering love and who she was inside. Beautiful, loved it!"
Thanks K for your sweet comments and the wonderful trailer you made for my book.
"Wings of Fate by T.M. Hobbs is a sweet paranormal romance, a departure for me, as sweet romance runs outside of my normal reading habits. Always open to new experiences, and having read one of Hobbs' short stories and enjoyed it, I was eager to dive into this novel." ~D.V. Berkom
Just a reminder to see my original post about SoonerCon 2011. I will be there with The Writer's Coffee Shop and fellow writers, Lindsay Gray and Joey Mills. We will be promoting our books June 3-5 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. See my original post for a chance to win a copy of Wings of Fate.
Tonight I had the pleasure of speaking with Lenore Luca, host of Teen Groove, about my writing, Wings of Fate, my other work, and a few fun facts about myself. I have posted the link here, so take a listen. My interview begins around 60:55.
My novel, Wings of Fate, was recently reviewed by The Hope Chest Reviews and I felt good to have received a 3.5 on their 5 point review scale. Here are some excerpts from the review:
"Wings of Fateis certainly not like any other paranormal romance I've read. There is no darkness, no intense angst, and no battles against evil forces. The characters simply are what they are, and enjoy being that way. In fact, one of the areas in which T. M. Hobbs excels is in her descriptions of them running wild in their animal form. I could just sense the pull they felt to get outdoors and the freedom and exhilaration they experienced when they let themselves go in that way." ~Julie
I understand and respect peoples varied reading tastes, but I was pleased with the 3.5 and appreciate the review given.
I hope that you will read Wings of Fate and let me know what you think of it someday soon.
